Gandhari curses Krishna
Dhritarashtra asks Vidur to crown Yudhisthir. Vidur requests Krishna to perform the coronation of Yudhishthir.
Gandhari becomes infuriated on learning the same, and curses the Pandavas’ clan. She curses Krishna. Gandhari curses Dwaraka that it will be submerged in water.
Krishna accepts Gandhari's curses and comforts her. He preaches few human values. Krishna performs the coronation of Yudhishthir.

Dhritarashtra decides to kill Bheem
The Pandavas seek Bhishma's blessings.
Bhishma enlightens Yudhishthir on how to rule a kingdom and decides to sacrifice his life during Uttarayana. He instructs the Pandavas to return to Hastinapur. Sanjay and Vidur suggest Dhritarashtra to welcome the Pandavas.
Dhritarashtra decides to kill Bheem. Yudhishthir apologises to Dhritarashtra. He asks Bheem to embrace him. Krishna places a statue in Bheem's position.
Dhritarashtra destroys the statue mistaking it to be Bheem, and repents for the same.

In episode 265 of Mahabharat, aired on 14th August 2014,
Ashwathama's Brahmastra damages Uttara's womb
Ashwathama's Brahmastra damages Uttara's womb. Krishna uses Sudarshana Chakra on Ashwathama, and curses him to be immortal.
Subhadra requests Krishna to save Uttara's unborn baby. Krishna saves Uttara's unborn baby.
The Pandavas perform the last rites of their sons. Draupadi shares her sorrows with Krishna. Krishna tells Draupadi that the war was necessary to bring changes in the society.

Ashwathama decides to kill Uttara's unborn baby
Ashwathama tells Duryodhan that he has killed the Pandavas. Duryodhan sacrifices his life.
Ashwathama becomes shocked on seeing the Pandavas. Yudhishthir informs Ashwathama that he has killed the Upapandavas.
Ashwathama decides to kill Uttara's unborn baby, and uses Brahmastra for the same. Arjun asks Ashwathama to withdraw the Brahmastra. He uses Brahmastra to stop Ashwathama.
Krishna asks Arjun to withdraw his Brahmastra. Arjun tells Krishna that Ashwathama will not be able to withdraw his Brahmastra.

In episode 263 of Mahabharat, aired on 12th August 2014,
Ashwathama kills the Upapandavas and Dhrishtadyumna
Gandhari blames Draupadi for the dreadful outcome of the war. Ashwathama meets Duryodhan. Duryodhan asks Ashwathama to kill the Pandavas.
The Upapandavas decide to spend the night, in the camp. Draupadi decides to stay with her children.
Ashwathama sneaks into the Pandavas' camp at night, and kills Dhrishtadyumna and the Upapandavas, mistaking them to be the Pandavas. Draupadi becomes upset on seeing her brother and sons dead.

In episode 262 of Mahabharat, aired on 11th August 2014,
Bheem cripples Duryodhan
Draupadi tells the Pandavas that Duryodhan's misdeeds are his weaknesses. Arjun reminds Bheem that Duryodhan had invited Draupadi to sit on his thigh.
Bheem realises that Duryodhan's thighs are his weakness, and damages them with his mace. Balaram becomes infuriated at Bheem for breaking the rules, and challenges him to a duel.
However, Bheem surrenders to Balaram. Dhritarashtra and Gandhari become upset on learning about Duryodhan's situation. Kunti apologises to Gandhari.

In episode 261 of Mahabharat, aired on 9th August 2014,
Bheem invites Duryodhan for a duel
Krishna and the Pandavas arrive at the lake. Bheem invites Duryodhan for a duel. Duryodhan comes out of the lake and fights with Bheem.
Bheem recalls Hanuman's advice and uses it on Duryodhan. Draupadi learns that Bheem's life is in danger and seeks Balaram's advice.
Balaram tells Draupadi that a person's misdeed is his weakness. Draupadi questions Krishna for not supporting the Pandavas. Krishna tells Draupadi that he is helpless.

Sahadev kills Shakuni
Yudhishthir engages Duryodhan in a duel. Nakul challenges Shakuni to a duel. Shakuni tries to hide himself.
Dhrishtadyumna challenges Ashwathama, and asks Arjun to support Yudhishthir. Bheem, Nakul and Sahadev recall Shakuni's misdeeds, and beat him. Meanwhile, Arjun engages Duryodhan in a duel.
Sahadev kills Shakuni, and Bheem throws his body in a lake. Bheem vows to kill Duryodhan by the end of the day.

In episode 259 of Mahabharat, aired on 7th August 2014,
Yudhishthir kills Shalya
The Pandavas learn that Duryodhan's body has turned into diamond. Krishna suggests the Pandavas to divert Duryodhan's attention by attacking Shakuni. Nakul challenges Shakuni to a duel. Shakuni seeks Shalya's help.
Shalya does not want to get killed in the hands of his nephew, Nakul. Yudhishthir kills Shalya. Arjun challenges Shakuni to a duel. Duryodhan rushes to rescue Shakuni. Arjun strives to defeat Duryodhan.
Meanwhile, Yudhishthir beats Shakuni. Later, Ashwathama fights against Arjun.

Duryodhan appoints Shalya as the commander of the Kuru army
Dhritarashtra becomes delighted on believing that Duryodhan will kill the Pandavas. Bheem burns few weapons to strengthen his mace.
Draupadi tends to Bheem. Bheem assures Draupadi that she will become the Queen of Hastinapur.
Duryodhan appoints Shalya as the commander of the Kuru army. He vows to kill the Pandavas. Gandhari blesses Duryodhan.
Krishna suggests Bheem not to underestimate his enemy. Duryodhan and Bheem have a duel. Bheem strives to defend himself.

Balaram confronts Krishna
Shakuni decides not to allow Krishna to win the war. Krishna worships Lord Ganesh. Shakuni sends a message to Balaram.
Dhritarashtra decides to participate in the war, to kill Bheem. Balaram arrives at the battlefield, and confronts Krishna for deceiving the Kauravas. He instructs Krishna not to disclose Duryodhan's weakness to the Pandavas.
Krishna agrees. Shakuni believes that his plan is successful. He revives Duryodhan.

Krishna ruins Shakuni's dice
Krishna sees Duryodhan undressing. He advises Duryodhan not to go bare bodied, in front of Gandhari.
Krishna tries to enlighten Shakuni with the knowledge of dharma. He enquires Shakuni whether Duryodhan's entire body will actually be turning into diamond.
Duryodhan covers the lower part of his body with banana leaves. Gandhari opens her eyes, and Duryodhan's body turns into diamond.
Shakuni becomes worried as Duryodhan's entire body has not turned into diamond. Krishna ruins Shakuni's dice.

Gandhari wants to save Duryodhan
Gandhari visits Kurukshetra. Shakuni apologises to Gandhari for failing to protect her sons.
Gandhari and Shakuni have an argument with each other. Shakuni tries to console Gandhari. Gandhari wants to save Duryodhan.
Shakuni informs Gandhari that she can transform Duryodhan into Vajra with the help of the rays from her eyes. Arjun becomes depressed about Karna's death.
Shakuni meets Krishna, and proposes a challenge to him. Ashwathama informs Duryodhan about Gandhari's power.

Radha blames Kunti for Karna's condition. The Pandavas become shocked on learning about their relationship with Karna. Arjun repents for injuring Karna.

Karna challenges Arjun to a duel
Karna becomes furious at Shalya for insulting him. He informs Shakuni that he can kill Arjun, without Takshak's help.
Duryodhan orders Karna to seek Takshak's help in killing Arjun. Karna seeks Takshak's help in killing Arjun, but fails.
Shakuni informs Duryodhan that they will not be able to kill Arjun as long as Krishna is with him. Krishna reminds Arjun about Kalyawan's death.
Karna challenges Arjun to a duel. Krishna asks Arjun to kill Karna. He informs Arjun that Karna has forgotten his lessons.

Arjun damages Karna's chariot
Takshak decides to sit on Karna's arrow, to kill Arjun. Karna is unhappy with Takshak's decision. Kunti shares her helplessness with Karna. She requests Karna to allow her to reveal the secret of his birth, after the war.
On the seventeenth day of the war, Karna and Arjun have a duel. Shalya does not cooperate with Arjun, and demoralises him. Arjun damages Karna's chariot.
Karna gets off the chariot. Shalya and Krishna insult Karna.

Duryodhan wishes to witness the death of one of the Pandavas, before his death. Karna vows to kill Arjun.

Dushyasan sacrifices his life
The Upapandavas take Draupadi to the battlefield, along with them. Dushyasan apologises to Bheem.
Bheem breaks Dushyasan's hands, and hits him on the chest. He washes Draupadi's hair with Dushyasan's blood.
Bheem decides to drink Dushyasan's blood, according to his oath. Draupadi tries to stop him. Meanwhile, Dushyasan sacrifices his life. Duryodhan, Karna and Shakuni witness the brutal act.
Later, Bheem becomes emotional on seeing Dushyasan's dead body.

Arjun tells Draupadi that the motive of the war is to teach a lesson to the Kauravas for misbehaving with her. Bheem fights against Dushyasan.

Bheem kills an elephant, Ashwathama
Arjun engages Dronacharya in a duel. Draupadi asks Dhrishtadyumna to take revenge on Dronacharya for killing Drupad.
Karna spares Sahadev's life on recalling his promise to Kunti. Bheem kills an elephant, Ashwathama, in front of Yudhishthir.
Later, Yudhishthir tells Dronacharya that he has witnessed Bheem attacking Ashwathama, concealing that it is an elephant.
Dronacharya decides to destroy the universe. Krishna makes Dronacharya realise his mistakes that he committed, while bringing up Ashwathama.

Krishna tells the Pandavas to kill Ashwathama

Karna uses the divine weapon against Ghatotkacha
Ghatotkacha captures Duryodhan. Bheem captures thirty brothers of Duryodhan.
On Duryodhan's insistence, Karna uses the divine weapon, presented to him by Indradev, against Ghatotkacha. Bheem tries to save Ghatotkacha, but in vain.
Ghatotkacha increases his size, and falls on the Kuru army. Arjun invites Karna to a duel. Karna accuses Krishna of using Ghatotkacha, to exhaust his divine weapon.
Bheem kills seventy brothers of Duryodhan, and performs Ghatotkacha's last rites.

The Pandavas perform Abhimanyu's last rites. The Kuru
army attacks the Pandavas' infantry. Virat is killed in the attack.

Arjun kills Jayadrath
Jayadrath hides himself in the Kauravas' camp. Krishna covers the sun with his Sudarshan Chakra.
Duryodhan believes that Arjun has failed in accomplishing his oath, and asks him to commit suicide. Meanwhile, Jayadrath rushes to the battlefield.
Shakuni enquires Krishna the reason for covering the sun with his Sudarshan Chakra. Arjun uses Pashupatastra to kill Jayadrath.
Shakuni suggests Duryodhan to attack the Pandavas at night, so that Karna gets an opportunity to kill Arjun..

In episode 239 of Mahabharat, aired on 15th July 2014,
Arjun vows to kill Jayadrath
Nakul tells Arjun that Jayadrath had stopped him and his brothers from rescuing Abhimanyu.
Arjun decides to take revenge on Jayadrath, and heads for the Kauravas' camp. He attacks the Kuru soldiers, brutally. Bheem, Nakul and Sahadev assist him.
Arjun tries to kill Jayadrath, but Yudhishthir stops him. He vows to kill Jayadrath, the next day. Arjun decides to commit suicide, if he fails to kill Jayadrath. He neutralises the Kuru army on the fourteenth day of the war.

In episode 238 of Mahabharat, aired on 14th July 2014,
Karna stabs Abhimanyu to death
Karna embraces Abhimanyu, and tells him that he is the greatest warrior. He stabs Abhimanyu to death, against Duryodhan's wish.
Dronacharya feels guilty for Duryodhan's deed. Arjun asks Krishna to take him to Kurukshetra on sensing that Abhimanyu's life is in danger.
The Pandavas bring Abhimanyu's dead body to their camp. Draupadi controls herself from breaking down into tears.
Subhadra and Uttara grieve Abhimanyu's death.

Shakuni stabs Abhimanyu
Krishna feels Abhimanyu's pain. Duryodhan instructs Karna to break Abhimanyu's bow.
Later, Abhimanyu takes a sword and fights against Ashwathama, Dushyasan and Shakuni. Shakuni stabs Abhimanyu from behind. Later, Abhimanyu takes a wheel of a chariot, to fight.
The Pandavas plead with Duryodhan not to kill Abhimanyu. Duryodhan, Dushyasan and Ashwathama attack Abhimanyu.
Karna asks Duryodhan to kill Abhimanyu, without torturing him.

Jayadrath stops the Pandavas from entering the chakravyuha
Jayadrath stops the Pandavas from entering the chakravyuha.
The Pandavas fail to defeat Jayadrath as he is bestowed with Mahadev's boon. They ask Abhimanyu to come out of the chakravyuha.
However, Abhimanyu moves to the centre of the chakravyuha. Ashwathama, Dushyasan and Shakuni attack Abhimanyu, but he manages to defend himself.
Duryodhan asks Dronacharya and Karna to raise weapons against Abhimanyu. He instructs Karna to torture Abhimanyu to death.

Draupadi becomes delighted on learning that Uttara has conceived
Abhimanyu requests Yudhishthir to allow him to penetrate the chakravyuha.

Draupadi tells Krishna that she will not be able to live without her sons. Karna apologises to Duryodhan for not killing Abhimanyu.

Arjun feels proud to have Abhimanyu as his son. Virat panics on learning that Susharman has attacked the Matsya kingdom.

Drupad engages Duryodhan in a duel. Meanwhile, Bheem kills thirty brothers of Duryodhan.
Karna makes Abhimanyu helpless. He feels Kunti's presence in the battlefield, and fails to kill Abhimanyu.

Karna meets Bhishma

Bhishma tells Karna that he was aware of his identity, and had tried to keep him away from the Kuru family. He asks Karna to fight the war in a just way.
Shakuni becomes unhappy with Duryodhan's decision of appointing Karna as the commander of the Kuru army.

Duryodhan decides to appoint Karna as the new commander
Kunti becomes upset on thinking about Bhishma. Draupadi comforts her and the Pandavas. Arjun brings medicines, water and food for Bhishma.
Bhishma refuses to accept them. He wishes to meet his mother, Ganga. Arjun brings Ganga to the battlefield. Ganga decides to take care of Bhishma. She comforts Bhishma.
Duryodhan decides to appoint Karna as the new commander of the Kuru army. Dronacharya becomes upset by the same, and leaves the meeting.

Bhishma asks Arjun to support his head with arrows. Duryodhan apologises to Bhishma.

Shakuni engages Shikhandi in a duel, and stabs him. Sanjay updates Dhritarashtra and Vidur about the war.

Bhishma apologises to Draupadi
The Pandavas and Draupadi seek Bhishma's permission to meet him. Bhishma suggests the Pandavas to perform their duty of defeating him.
The Pandavas request Bhishma to live, until they start ruling over Hastinapur. Bhishma orders his own death sentence, and apologises to Draupadi.
Draupadi forgives him. Dhritarashtra panics on learning that Shikhandini has returned to the battlefield. He asks Vidur to stop Bhishma from participating in the war.

Shikhandini returns to the battlefield
Shikhandini decides to commit suicide as she fails to please Yakshraj with her tapasya.
Duryodhan believes that Shikhandini will not be able to defeat Bhishma as she is not allowed to enter the battlefield.
Shikhandini arrives at the battlefield, and informs the Pandavas that Yaksharaj has changed her gender for a day.
Duryodhan requests Bhishma not to participate in the war, the next day, but in vain.
Krishna suggests the Pandavas to seek Bhishma's suggestion on how to defeat him.

In episode 221 of Mahabharat, aired on 24th June 2014,
Bhishma surrenders to Krishna
Bhishma announces that he is invincible. Krishna becomes infuriated, and advances towards Bhishma with a wheel of a chariot in his hands.
The arrows from Bhishma's bow fail to injure Krishna. Bhishma surrenders to Krishna. Krishna reminds Bhishma of his misdeeds.
Bhishma agrees to die in the hands of Krishna. Arjun stops Krishna by reminding him of his promise. Bhishma requests Krishna to allow Shikhandini to kill him.

In episode 220 of Mahabharat, aired on 23rd June 2014,
Bhishma destroys the Pandavas' army
Bhishma attacks the Pandavas' army. The warriors try to defeat Bhishma, but in vain. The Pandavas become worried as they lose their soldiers.
However, they fail to come up with a strategy to defeat Bhishma. Bhishma stays in the battlefield without food, water and sleep.
The Pandavas' army decreases to two akshauhinis at the end of the seventh day of war, while the Kuru army consists of nine akshauhinis. Arjun challenges Bhishma, the next day.

Bhishma vows to destroy the Pandavas
Krishna suggests the Pandavas to injure Bhishma, to disable him from participating in the war.

Duryodhan and Bheem have a brutal fight
Duryodhan and Bheem have a brutal fight. Duryodhan throws mud into Bheem's eyes and hits him with a wheel to make him unconscious.
However, Bheem regains consciousness, and attacks Duryodhan.
Bhishma returns to the battlefield with Yudhishthir as a hostage, while Bheem is on the verge of killing Duryodhan.
However, Bheem leaves Duryodhan, and returns with Yudhishthir. Krishna suggests the Pandavas to injure Bhishma, to disable him from participating in the war.

Kavach and Kundal or not. Indradev, in disguise, informs Krishna and Arjun that he will help the Pandavas in the war.
Karna informs Indradev that he will give an opportunity to Arjun, to live. Arjun suspects that the Brahmin is Indradev, and might ask for Karna's Kavach and Kundal.

Karna refuses to take the Pandavas' side
Kunti
repents for not accepting Karna as her son, and apologises to him. She
requests Karna to take the Pandavas' side. Karna tells Kunti that he
will not deceive Duryodhan. He requests Kunti not to reveal to the
Pandavas that he is their elder brother.
Karna promises Kunti that he
will not kill her sons, except Arjun. He tells Kunti that either he or
Arjun will be alive after the war.

Vasudev
decides to leave the new born baby with his friend, Nand. Meanwhile,
the soldiers become unconscious, and the doors of the prison get
unlocked.
The holy river, Yamuna, makes a way for Vasudev. A
seven-headed snake protects Vasudev and the new born baby from the
storm.
Vasudev gives the new born baby to Nand. He takes Nand's baby
girl, and returns to the prison.
The baby girl transforms into a
goddess, and informs Kans that the child who is destined to kill him, is
safe.
On May 12 2014
In episode 184 of Mahabharat, aired on 12th May 2014,
Lord Vishnu seeks Devaki's permission to reincarnate as her son
Vasudev
and Devaki plead with Kans not to kill their infant child. Kans kills
Devaki's seven children.
Devaki informs Vasudev that she will not be
able to survive, if Kans kills her eighth child. On seeing the weather
deteriorating, Kans predicts that Devaki might give birth. He instructs a
soldier to inform him after Devaki delivers her child.
Lord Vishnu
appears in front of Devaki and Vasudev. He seeks Devaki's permission to
reincarnate as her son. Devaki gives birth to her eighth child, a boy.
