In episode 241 of Mahabharat, aired on 17th July 2014, 

Ghatotkacha creates havoc in the Kuru camp

The Pandavas perform Abhimanyu's last rites. The Kuru army attacks the Pandavas' infantry. Virat is killed in the attack. 

Krishna tells Bheem to ask Ghatotkacha to join the war. Arjun leads the Pandavas' army. Karna decides to use the divine weapon, presented to him by Indradev, against Arjun. 

Ghatotkacha appears on Bheem's insistence, and creates havoc in the Kuru camp. Dronacharya and Karna fail to kill Ghatotkacha. 

Duryodhan instructs Karna to use the divine weapon against Ghatotkacha.
